If you like IT then this can be the perfect job for you. You may be able to get a job as an engineer that allows you to work within many aspects of computers and vary your day to day tasks.
The pay is often quite good for a computer engineer and you can expect to be on an hourly rate of £25-£50 per hour, especially if you are self employed.
Although there is no need for a formal qualification, many computer engineers have obtained some sort of degree in computers or computer science. Often a degree in design and technology can also be helpful.
