Choosing a new printer

If you are looking to purchase a new printer, then you may be overwhelmed with the choice of printers that are available on the market. You can spend from as little as £20 upwards of £1000 on a printer, depending on what you want it to do. If you are looking for a printer for your home and just need to be able to print out the occasional document or photo, then one of the cheaper models may be for you. If you are looking to do a lot of high quality photo printing then you may need to splash out a bit more.

Many of us have smart phones and tablets and it is ideal to be able to print straight from these to your device. Most new printers are now wireless and can be picked up on these devices, but some offer specific apps which can be downloaded to enable someone to print.

The other thing to bear in mind when choosing a printer is the cost of the ink cartridges. These can often cost as much as the printer (if you have bought a cheaper one) so it is vital to check how much you can expect to spend and where the cheapest place to buy it from is.
