Is it time to upgrading your PC?

If you have a PC or laptop that isn’t working as well as it should then it may be time to upgrade it. Often over time, components start to slow down and as new software and updates come out which require more memory, our computers start to struggle to keep up.

Before you think about scrapping it and buying a new computer, have a look in to upgrading it instead. This can often save you a lot of money and can also save you the hassle of having to reinstall all your programs and documents.

If the computer is still under a warranty, then you need to be very carful about taking it apart as this may invalidate the warranty. You should also only carry out upgrades and repairs yourself if you know what you are doing, as touching the wrong part on a circuit board could cause massive issues.

If you are going to use a third party to carry out the upgrades for you, then be sure that they have an adequate level of insurance to cover any damage they may cause. You should always try and find something that has been referred to you or that you have read plenty of reviews on. Memory is often one of the most common things people upgrade. There are a number of different types and sizes and not all will fit in every computer, so be sure to check compatibility before ordering.
